A bonus is not free money. It is playing credit with a turnover condition attached, and the arithmetic behind that condition decides whether the offer is generous or simply expensive. This guide works a real welcome deal through to the end.

The worked example

Take the headline offer: 100% up to ₨30,000, with 20x rollover on the bonus, a ₨500 minimum deposit and a fourteen-day window. Suppose you deposit ₨5,000 and receive ₨5,000 in bonus credit. The rollover is twenty times the bonus, so ₨5,000 × 20 = ₨100,000 must pass through bets before anything can be withdrawn.

₨100,000 of turnover at ₨50 a spin is two thousand spins. At roughly four seconds a spin that is a little over two hours of continuous play — if nothing goes wrong. Spread across fourteen evenings it is entirely doable. Compressed into a seventy-two-hour window, it is a different proposition altogether, which is why the expiry deserves as much attention as the multiplier.

Where the real cost sits

Here is the part the headline never mentions. Turning ₨100,000 over on a game with a 96% return means the expected cost of the turnover is about 4% of it — roughly ₨4,000. So a ₨5,000 bonus, cleared under normal conditions, is worth around ₨1,000 in expectation. That is a real gain, but it is one-fifth of the number printed on the banner, and it assumes nothing else goes wrong.

If the multiplier applies to deposit plus bonus, our example becomes ₨10,000 × 20 = ₨200,000 of turnover, the expected cost doubles to around ₨8,000, and the offer is now worth less than nothing. Same headline percentage, opposite conclusion. This is the first line to find in the terms.

Contribution rates

Slots typically count 100% of a stake toward the requirement. Live-dealer tables often count 10%, and sometimes zero. At 10%, clearing ₨100,000 of rollover on baccarat requires ₨1,000,000 of actual staking, which nobody completes inside a fortnight. If you prefer live tables, a bonus is usually not for you.

The maximum bet clause

Most terms cap a single stake at around ₨500 while a bonus is active. Exceed it once, even by accident on a bet slip you did not re-check, and the operator may void the bonus and every rupee won with it. Nothing else in the terms can cost you as much this quickly.

A simple decision rule

Multiply the bonus by the rollover to get the turnover. Multiply the turnover by four percent to get the expected cost. If the bonus amount is comfortably larger than that cost, and you can genuinely play the turnover inside the window on games that count in full, take it. If any of those three fails, decline it — a plain deposit with no conditions attached is a perfectly good outcome, and it leaves your balance withdrawable at any moment.
